Christmas Gifts!

I know, I said I was going to edit the post below this one, but eh, why not make a separate post for this? Don't want that post to be too long, anyway!


Anyways, hello once again, everyone! I hope you all had a super amazing Christmas Eve and Day!!

I'm super excited to share what I got with you guys, but, before I do, let me just put this out there:

I am NOT trying to brag, in ANY WAY, by making this post. I promise.

Alright, now that we've got that disclaimer in big letters, let's go ahead and jump into the post! I'll start with Christmas Eve! :)

Alright, so, Christmas Eve, my cousin and one of my grandmas came over to our house. Last time my hyper cousin visited, I actually got hurt kinda badly, so I was nervous that would happen again, but luckily, he was a lot calmer this time!
Also, I just wanted to thank Lostfairy real fast for being so kind on that day! I wasn't feeling very well for a while while I was cleaning up the house, and I was kinda worried I'd be sick on Christmas Day. Lost made me this super adorable picture telling me to get well, and I love it!

And it seems it cured me or something, because here I am, perfectly fine (unless you count allergies :1) on Christmas Day! :)

Or the day AFTER Christmas Day, I suppose I should say!

Anyways, Christmas Eve ended with my family watching a movie, and then, before I knew it, it was Christmas Day! 

I absolutely loved all the gifts my family got for me! I won't include all of them, because some are small and not a huge deal, but these two pictures include most of the big, significant ones! :D

Some of these are kinda hard to see and/or understand, so I'll include a list of what's in the pictures, too!

-Minecraft Wolf stuffed animal

-Candy dispenser (under the wolf toy)

-A "Dubstep Machine", as I like to call it (the thing with all the colored squares on the box)

-Skullcandy wireless headphones

-Color-changing light bulb

-"Squishies" (the cupcake and pink cat)

-Air-dry clay (yes, the writing is in Japanese. Ignore that, eheheh)

-Snorlax Pokemon toy (on top of the clay box)

-Two patches for clothes (the banana and the "be WEIRD")

-A color-in Bible

-Peacock hardcover sketchbook

-Warriors (A Vision of Shadows): The Darkest Night

-"Music is my first love" t-shirt

I did get a few smaller things too, like an iTunes gift card, a reading light, and a PopSocket for my phone, but, like I said, I'll just leave those out of the picture this time, to save space and time!

Honestly, I think the things I'm most pleased with are the headphones (which I needed badly, because earbuds fall out all the time for me), the Warriors book (which is the next book in the series I need to read), the sketchbook (it's so PRETTY and I can bring it to school in my backpack and it won't get bent and AHHH! XD!), and the Bible (which I actually really wanted but didn't exactly ask for, and it'll be great for the camp I go to every summer!)!

Oh! I almost forgot!

First off, here's a close-up of the two patches and the necklace!

Notice anything about one of the patches? 

Hehe, yep, I DID write "BOLD" in Sharpie on the banana one, because it can't just be a NORMAL banana when I'm not a normal person, right?! XDD!

And second, there are actually a few gifts I got that haven't been shipped or made yet! One is this SUPER CUTE Owl City owl stuffed animal, which I CANNOT WAIT to get in the mail...

And the other is a custom Owl City shirt, designed by me! I'm definitely adding my favorite quote onto it when I make it! ;)

Well, that's honestly all I have for now, guys! Overall, this has been a great Christmas!!

Merry Christmas, everyone!
Can you believe it's already here?! Aah, it came so fast!!


So, because of the fact I'm writing this on Christmas EVE, so that you all can see it on Christmas DAY, I, uh, actually don't have any presents opened yet to show or anything, eheheh!
But I'll update this post later and show you all what I got in a day or so! :D

For everyone who hasn't yet gotten one of these Masterpieces made by me, I'm sorry, but they may be rather late! I've only had time to make 4 so far! Hopefully, I'll get one out to everyone at some point- although with the amount of time I have, and how fast my amount of diamonds is decreasing, I'm not sure how fast! Sorry! D:
They may just have to be Beginning-of-2018 gifts... hehehe!

 Such a cool entrance so far! I love how ya bordered the outside of the den with those Pixel Fences, Lost!
And WOAH! Is THAT what the Epic Seasonal Tree looks like during Christmas?! I don't own one, so I wouldn't know, XD!

 Ooh! This part is so cozy and pretty! Man, imagine if all the dens in AJ were real houses! :o
Well, minus the Gingerbread part... XD!

 Same with this section! I love how the Christmas tree is up on the second floor, and not on the first, like a lot of people do (I admit, I'm guilty of doing that... XD)!
And AH, THERE'S ANOTHER ONE OF MY MASTERPIECES! You're so sweet Lost! ;)

 Okay, let me just say, I LOVE this idea! I made use of my chocolate pool in my den, but it's kinda odd sometimes if it doesn't really fit with the den's theme. So this is a really clever way of covering up the chocolate, even if you DO still get brown, like my deer in the picture, when you step in it, XD!

 YAY! CHRISTMAS MASTERPIECESSS! XD!

And this nice little area is complete with Frostyblush in her lil' mini Snow Fort den! Frostyblush really is super cute, hehe!


Next up... hmm... let's try Sarah's den!
(I dunno if this a Christmas-themed den... but it IS winter-themed! I'm pretty sure of that, XD!)

 The rainbow shining down onto the table is a really pretty addition, Sarah!! :D

 Aww, this is such a pretty kitchen! And you made use of the Elegant Table! I never could figure out where to put that item... XD!

 The mailbox and mailbag is a great addition here, and, once again, the Pixel Fences are used in a great way as well!

 This is a really nice-looking bedroom! I have to say, in my Friendship Cottage den, this area is a LOT more cluttered! XD!

 WOOHOO, YOU FOUND A WAY TO USE THE SHARK COUCH! XDD!

 A very nice display outside, by the heart-shaped frozen pond!

Aww, look at the little plushies playin' football! So cute, hehe!

Can you guys BELIEVE that Christmas is only 4 days away?! Like, how on Earth did it come around so fast?!

But I'm super excited, and I hope everyone else is too! Christmas is definitely my favorite holiday (although if my birthday counts, they're tied, XD)!!

But today, I'm actually not here to talk about Christmas!

*Pulls out a chair and takes out a big old-fashioned storybook and opens it*

*Talks in grandma voice* Sit down, children, and let me tell you the story of... *pauses for dramatic effect*... "The Juice Hut Fiasco".

XDD! Okay, I'll talk normally now!

Alright!

So, on Tuesday, a lot of us bloggers got on AJ to help Lost take some pictures! We went around to lots of different locations, and our final one was Captain Melville's Juice Hut in Crystal Sands.

So, we went in there, got into our positions... and then- here's the first, smaller part- in comes a skin-colored-and-pink arctic wolf. I'll just call her "pink arctic wolf" in this story, XD!

So she came in, and I guess she thought we were having a party or something, or recording, because she walked RIGHT in the middle, in front of Lost, and started dancing like us.

But then we started saying something, and, after staying pretty silent this whole time, she started saying it too!!

And we were talking about Bold Bananas. Which that arctic wolf has most likely NEVER heard of (if she has, that's kinda freaky. O.O). 

So, uh... yeah, she apparently REALLY wanted to be included!

But then, we all stopped dancing after the picture was taken, and she...

ACK, WHAT DID SHE SAY AGAIN?!

Um...

I think it was something like "Let's keep going guys!"

And then she kept typing what we had been saying.

Over.

And Over.

And OVER!

XDD! Honestly, it was pretty funny, the way she just jumped in and acted like she knew what was going on!

BUT THEN

OHHHH MAN GUYS

THIS IS THE GOOD PART!

XD!

Suddenly, a non-member white bunny walked in. She immediately went up to that little stage, sat behind the microphone, and said:

So we all got to listen to her... uh... GREAT, "original" (I wonder if it actually IS...) song!

I sadly didn't get many more pictures, because I was too busy cracking up behind my computer screen and shouting stuff with a lot of "XD's" on another tab. Heheh...

While I was wasting precious screen-shot time, Lost conveniently wrote down all the lyrics to this bunny's wonderful songs!

I have to say, this bunny didn't exactly make up (or so she says) the... uh... HAPPIEST songs.

I think that one might be a real song. I swear I've heard "the one that got away" in a song before, but that's all I know.

XDDD! But seriously, you guys have NO IDEA how hard I was cracking up at that line!

No, Owl City is NOT the only music I listen to! I listen to tons of other songs! It's just that a pretty good majority of them are Owl City... eheheh!

Okay, sorry. I had to just let myself get into it for a second there. Hehe!

Anyways, after saying "ty ty" again after finishing the second song, the bunny ran off the stage and kinda just... disappeared. She obviously left the room, of course, but it was odd how she just went... poof. XDD!

Alright, so this is the Animal Jam Artist Tag! Let's go ahead and get started!


1. What's your favorite AJ animal to draw?
That'd have to be wolves- arctic and normal! I feel I'm pretty good at drawing them! However, it IS fun to try drawing different animals! I still need to try drawing Kara's hyena sometime!
2. Which animal (in your opinion) is the hardest to draw?
Oooh, that's a good question!
Hmm... I haven't drawn a BUNCH of the animals on AJ, but it looks like the otter would be pretty hard to draw in my style! In fact, I think I've tried drawing an AJ otter before, and it, uh, kinda turned out weird. XD! I mean, their head kinda morphs into their body... it's kinda difficult for me to draw!
3. Which one of your AJ art pieces are you most proud of?

AHH! I can't believe I ended up posting this without a picture! My apologies- I was playing AJ and got distracted!

Okay, anyways...

I'm assuming this means Masterpieces, and not traditional pieces of AJ animals, so... I'd have to go with this one!

I just love how the whole thing turned out! Although I don't use it too much, that airbrush tool certainly CAN be great for small details like stars!
4. Do you like to draw digitally, traditionally, or on the AJ Art Studio?
Definitely traditionally! The lines are a lot straighter, you can "undo" more than once, and you can choose to make lines EXACTLY how think or thin you want them! Just easier, in my opinion! And plus, like Lost said, art programs are HARD to figure out! At least, they are for me!
5. What's one tip you have for AJ artists?
I'd say try drawing the animals in your own style! If you find it kinda hard to draw AJ animals, just use some of their unique features, like their fur patterns and such, and add them to your own style! Take it from me- it usually makes drawing them a lot easier! :D

WHAT Happened!? In TEXAS!?

I apologizeeee!!! I've been really busy IRL lately, and plus, I've been... eheheh... forgetting most of the time as well.
Actually, I've been forgetting LOTS of stuff lately.
Stuff I should've finished forever ago.
But oh well, XDD!


But hey, why don't we get onto the post, because let me tell you, the events that happened that I'll be talking about were SO AMAZING to me!!!






Okay, so, on the 7th, I had a guitar performance at a celebration-thing that's a tradition in my town. It was SUPER cold- in fact, when I left, it was 37 degrees Fahrenheit (sorry, I go by Fahrenheit!), which is almost to freezing!
Anyways, we were playing guitar out in the almost-freezing weather, and it was raining too.
So THAT was fun.

You Guys: *Blinks*
You Guys: *Gets up and starts to leave*

WAIT WAIT WAIT! IT GETS BETTER, I PROMISE!

You Guys: *Slowly turns and sits back down*

Anyways, it was miserable for a while, but GUESS WHAT!?
After a while, the rain turned into actual...
SNOWWWWWW!!!

Snow is NOT a normal thing for most Texans. Seriously, we NEVER see snow down here. My dad said the last time it snowed a decent amount was around 1983, or something like that!
So it's been a VERY long time since we've seen snow down here!

IT.
ACTUALLY.
SNOWED.

And not just a thin dusting- okay, so it WAS still kinda thin... BUT IT COULD BE PLAYED IN AND STUFF! XDD!

Anyways, as soon as I got home, my siblings and I went out into our backyard and started doing the typical snow day activities! You know, the ones on TV and in books, like building a snowman and making snow angels and having a snowball fight and all that? The stuff me and my siblings have NEVER legitimately done before?
Yeah, we did ALL of that! XD!

And guess what elseeeee?

I TOOK PICUREEEEEEEESSSS!! XDD!

 Took this super quick at the celebration I was playing at, and... I mean... it's snow... so it, er, falls... so sorry for the quality! But IT'S SNOWINGGGGGGGG!!! XDD!

BEFORE YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT HOW BAD THE QUALITY IS IN THIS PICTURE, LET ME TELL YOU A STORY!
*Opens story book and puts on grandma reading glasses*
Once upon a time, Swirlshine was playing in the rarely-seen snow and made a snowman. She wanted to take a picture of it, so she tried to take a picture with her iPhone with snowy gloves on. In the dark. This didn't work well, and, literally right after having to ask Siri to open her camera app, her phone died. "NOOOOOO", Swirlshine yelled, and ran to give her phone to her mom so it could charge.
Finally, Swirl got her phone back, and tried to take picture with a gloved hand, which turned out to be extremely hard. But she finally did it, and she lived happily ever after, until she had to figure out how to carry her phone back inside without touching it and getting snow on it.
THE END!
True story. XDD!



The snow delayed my school's starting time by two hours, so I got to sleep in a bit! This morning, the snow was still there, so I was able to take good pictures in the daylight! YAY!

Just imagine how much you could do with all that... *grins evilly and rubs hands together*
XDD!

And finally, what the scenery looked like from my dad's windshield, XDD!

Unfortunately, when I got to school, the teachers decided to be extremely rude and not let us throw snowballs or touch the snow or anything.

I mean, COME ON, IT'S NOT DANGEROUS!!! It's actually pretty soft!

But yeah, I was highly annoyed that I couldn't go out and enjoy the snow some more before it melted, and Lost heard ALL about that this morning. 

Sorry Lost, XDDDDD!

But anyways, behind one of the gyms, where I was waiting for my first period teacher to come and unlock her door, a lot of us DID have some secret fun with the snow, including me, XD! For some reason, I just like to kick it around and roll it into a random snowball that'll never be used. XDDD!

And... yeah! That's my snow day(s) for you! It had all pretty much melted by the time I got out of school.

But I had a SUPER fun experience, and, even though I, uh, couldn't exactly feel my feet after coming back inside (XDD), I loved it all! I'm really hoping to go to a place with LOTS of snow in the winter sometime soon!

Fuzzy sweater (a book that is the epitome of comfort)

Hmm, let's see...

I'd have to go with Sisters! The whole book is written in a comic-like style, but it's such a relatable book, and to me, that's comforting! XD!

It shows that, even though siblings may not get along most of the time, they DO come together when they need to, and that, deep down, they always love each other!

Striped sweater (book which you devoured every line of)

Er... can I choose something WITHOUT a cover?

That sounds odd, but I promise, it's a real story!

Okay, I'm gonna say Jamaasian High, by Lostfairy!

OKAY, OKAY, before you all go throwing rotten bananas at me and booing (XD), YES, I am aware that the Jamaasian series is a series us bloggers made up for fun, and the stories are technically officially published or anything.

BUT I LOVE THESE STORIES, OKAY GUYS!?

Like, seriously, they're awesome. XDD!

Anyways, Lostfairy's Jamaasian High is fun, exciting, and, ever since the latest chapter, I've been DYING to read more!

 Ugly Christmas sweater (book with a weird cover)

(Eek, the book in this picture is in kinda-bad condition!)

So, yes, there's an evil-looking bunny on top of a dog, and a cat kinda freakily peeking out from behind the dog. XD!

I apologize- I couldn't find a book with an amazingly-odd cover on my bookshelf, XD!

However, I remember loving this book back in... 3rd grade, was it? I honestly don't know, but TRUST ME, I REMEMBER THE DETAILS! XD!

Oh, and I HAVE re-read it since then, haha!

It's actually pretty funny, and it was so popular that there were a few more books featuring the characters made a bit later! 

Funny story: I was reading one of those other books one night (quite a while back- 4th grade, maybe?), and, in the book, it suddenly got stormy. It was stormy outside IRL as well, and there was even some hail, in fact. 

Then, the book TOTALLY freaked me out by acting like one of the characters had died, and I just suddenly got really jumpy.

Younger Me (in my head): "Oh no, it's dark and stormy in the book, and it's dark and stormy here, and something really bad happened in the book, so WHAT IF SOMETHING REALLY BAD HAPPENS HERE IN REAL LIFE!?"

Yeah, that was a GREAT way to go to bed. XD!

Cashmere sweater (most expensive book you've bought)

Er... have I ever bought a book that's over $20?

Er, can I choose a SET of books? XD!

They had different covers back then, but this- the first set of Warriors books- cost me a lot! I don't exactly remember HOW MUCH, but... er... a lot? XD!

This was my first ever set of Warriors books I completed, so they're very special to me!

Hoodie (favorite classic book)

I didn't personally buy this book, but I had heard this was a good book from many people, and, when I finally got it (I, uh, forgot how), I was excited to read it!

If you didn't know, I was OBSESSED with dogs back when I was in elementary. I still love them a TON, in fact!

But, even now, if a book has a furry animal on the cover, I just HAVE to read it!

So this book was a perfect fit for me! I remember loving it- maybe I'll read it again over Christmas break!

Also, it has an award, as you can see, so that normally means it's really good, XD!
Seems to be a classic to me, hehe!

Cardigan (book that you bought on impulse)

I saw that this book had short stories about Mapleshade AND Ravenpaw, so I HAD to have it! Mapleshade is by far my favorite villain in the Warriors series, and Ravenpaw is one of my favorite characters in general! And I've always wondered about Goosefeather- he was very mysterious when he showed up in Bluestar's Prophecy.

So I ordered this book off of Amazon as soon as I heard about the release of it!

I was not disappointed- all three of the stories were AMAZING, and they really explained a lot!

Turtleneck sweater (book from your childhood)

Ooh! So many choices...

OH! I KNOW!

Guys, you have NO IDEA how many times I checked this book out from the library in elementary. 

IT'S SO CUTE!

I always hung around the cats-and-dogs section of the library (c'mon, it's not THAT surprising, now is it? XD!), and, once I had read this book, I kept checking it out at random times throughout the years, because it's just so CUTE, and the illustrations are ADORABLE!

Ahem... uh... okay... I think you guys get the point: I loved this book. XD!

Homemade knitted sweater (book that is Indie-published)

Hehe... whoops! Nothing to see here! If I'm being honest... I have no idea what an Indie-published book even IS!

Hold on, lemmie look it up.

Yeah, I don't know of any books I've read that are published like that! 

V-neck sweater (book that did not meet your expectations)

SPOILERS AHEAD! Just a warning!

The book I'm talking about, out of these three, is Spottedleaf's Heart.

I didn't technically HATE it.

I just thought it'd be about, y'know, SpottedLEAF. All her inside thoughts and feelings. How she died. 

I didn't think expect it to talk about Spottedleaf when she was SpottedPAW, and still really young.

I was kinda disappointed, partly because of that, and partly because some of Spottedleaf's decisions in that book were... not exactly ones I'd recommend. 

But I wasn't annoyed, really. Disappointed. But not annoyed that it wasn't what I wanted.

Still, I wish I knew more about Spottedleaf's thoughts when she was a full-grown cat, not an apprentice.

Argyle sweater (book with a unique format)

My mom got me this book a few years ago, and this year, I finally took it off of my bookshelf and read it!

I chose A Wrinkle In Time for "book with a unique format" because... well, the writing is a lot simpler than what I'm used to, and what a lot of books are written like now. It doesn't describe the setting super vividly, like in the Warriors books, and there aren't many words written in italics, which are normally used to say what a character is thinking. Yet, it's still such an amazing book! Plus, the simple writing style kinda lets the reader make up the missing details!

Polka dot sweater (a book with well-rounded characters)

Uh...

Can I maaaaybe copy Lostfairy on this one? Just this once? PLEEEAASE?

You Guys: Um, well-

You Guys: Aaaaand she did it anyway.

XDD! Anyways, yes, The Maze Runner is my choice for this one, because I love how different the characters are, and all their different traits! Thomas is smart and thoughtful, Newt keeps everyone together (guess that's why he's "The Glue", huh Lost? XD!), and is a natural leader, and Minho is brave and sarcastic. 

There are so many more characters I could talk about, but that'd take forever, so I'll just leave it at those 3! XD!
