I know, I know, I haven't posted in 2 weeks. I apologize, really I do. But there's been a lot going on in my life right now- we finally had our choir competition last week, and we'd been practicing a lot before it. I also have practice for the school play, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 5 to 7 PM. That leaves me pretty tired afterwards, and with the homework I've had, I haven't really felt up to posting at all. I even stayed up till 4 to finish a project for Spanish last week. Yes, 4 AM. In the morning. It wasn't good, you guys- goodness, I was so tired the whole day!
Plus, I've also just been kinda out of ideas.

But hey, even though I still am, there's always one thing to do in the face of writer's block!

So that's what I'll be doing today!

First... I found a Masterpiece by a New Jammer! Which is quite odd... Masterpieces get approved in about a day, right? So unless New Jammer nametags last for more than one day (I can't remember- the last time I was a New Jammer was years ago, XD), then this Masterpiece must've gotten approved in less than a day... somehow. Or the nametag just glitched and kept showing New Jammer after their username was approved.
Also... wait, they have enough diamonds ALREADY? Man!

 So... can you change the size of pet fireflies? Because if not, something went wrong here. O.O

 Should've shown this one a loong time ago, but, when Bitter Sweets was out this year, I played as my bat, and, after doing an action (I think), when I tried to fly around, I was missing one wing!

So... is someone's NAME salad? Is it a nickname? Do they mean something else? Or is it just something random?
I guess we'll never know. XD

 I found this one not too long ago- it's since been fixed, though! But for a while, the scrolls in the Forgotten Archive also appeared farther up! I found it a pretty cool glitch, hehe!

 Oh man, I love this one. I can so imagine someone saying this in an odd conversation, for some reason.

Anyways, sorry about my silence in the community lately. If I ever go quiet for like, a week, just know that there's a 95% chance it's because of school. 

I've had quizzes to study for, choir practices, and play practices as well (and I have to be there for ALL of them since I'm the lead role, eheheh!), and all that's been leaving me pretty tired after I leave school, and very unmotivated to post!

1.What book are you reading right now?

Well, I just finished book #1 of Wings Of Fire, called "The Dragonet Prophecy", and I loved it, so I'll be getting book #2 very, very soon from my school library! Technically, right now, I'm not reading anything new, but that'll most likely change this week!

2. What book did you previously read?

I guess I already answered this on the first one, XD!

Oh! I DID also finish reading The Fever Code, from the Maze Runner series, a few weeks ago, though!

3.What book are you planning on reading next?

Goodness, does my answer to the first question answer all of these or something? XD!

Like I said, Wings Of Fire, Book 2: The Lost Heir! YAY FOR SEAWINGS! XDD!

Well, I'm going to try and get through the whole Wings Of Fire series, but after that... hmm, I really don't know! Maybe I'll try the Heroes Of Olympus series, since Sarah suggested it?

You know what? This time, I think I'm gonna go with Finpaw from Warriors! He's such a playful and happy young cat, despite being seriously injured once, and the way he left everything behind to be in ThunderClan with Twigpaw was very, very sweet! I just find his character super cute- at least for now, because who knows who he'll be when he's a full-grown warrior? XD!

1. My mom told me that, when I was super young, and my sister and brother hadn't been born, I would make her come into my room and play Littlest Pet Shops with me. XDD!

Oh dear... I have 0 ideas right now...

Umm...

2. When I was younger, I attempted to write an Animal-Jam based song for some reason, but, uh... that didn't turn out well at all. XD!

3. I've actually completely and downright refused to do a science experiment at school before.

Well, okay, it was last year... XD! Luckily, my teacher wasn't mad (he kinda found it funny and said it reminded him of his son, XD), so I didn't end up having to do it after all, and I didn't get in trouble either.

Doesn't sound too exciting at first, but trust me, that was completely out of character for me- I never refuse to do assignments- but I wouldn't do that particular thing then, and I still wouldn't do it now. 

2. Name your 3 favorite movie series

1. The Maze Runner series, no doubt. ;)

2. Darn. I actually haven't watched many movies SERIES at all so far. I suppose I could say Hunger Games? I've only watched the first movie so far, but I loved it, so sure, let's go with that. XD!

I'll just go ahead and say that I loved The Greatest Showman! Not a series, but I've got nothing else that I can think of, and it was just really fun to watch! XD!

Hmm- well, I love going to the park, where I can just run around and enjoy nature and all that!

Young Swirl's Strangest Moments!

Me: *Tries to sneak in past you guys*

Yeah, uh, sorry about that! I had quite a bit of stuff to do last week, and I've also just been kinda out of ideas lately.

But hey, guess what- it's a 5-day-weekend for me! It started on Thursday, but, uh, yeah! 

So POSTING TIME! XD!

First off, I suppose I'll start with showing you this Masterpiece I've been working on!

I know a couple of you know what this is, but for those of you that have no idea, this type of Masterpiece is called a Friendship Quilt! The original idea was made by Ocean8Froggy- basically, you design a Masterpiece that looks like a quilt, and all of them include borders with patterns, stitched hearts in the corners, your main animal and pet in the center, and your animal's paw prints in the top center with stitch marks around them too! The rest, like the colors and patterns, are entirely up to whoever makes it! A couple of us bloggers thought this was a great idea, so we went ahead and started making our own versions!

And, as you can see, that one up there is how mine looks so far! I have to say, I'm very proud of how my wolf turned out, and I even made it my new Blogger profile picture, as some of you may have already noticed, XD!

And, if anyone's wondering about the pattern I started on the right border, it's going to be an Owl City themed border, filled with music notes and pictures of things that were mentioned in Owl City songs! The wing is from Up All Night (although now that I think about it, it'd work better with On The Wing, XD!), the bug is from Fireflies, and the flower is from Plant Life (although he mentions flowers in plenty of his songs, XD!) Gonna add more soon!

Okay- now that we've gotten past that, how about we do something I've been wanting to do for a while now?

 First off, seems Young Swirl was VERY excited to figure out the owl puzzle!

 Okay, so in this one, Young Swirl seemed to realize "Oh, these are owls- they don't have hands!", so she decided that saying "out of wing" would be better.

Larry The Bunny- Chapter 2

Hiiiiii everyoneee!!
Wow, it's kinda been a while, huh?

I apologize- school last week was kinda chaotic, and I was also using a lot of time to finish reading the third book in the Maze Runner book series, AND I just kept forgetting some nights as well!
Eheheh... so yeah!


But I'm back, and I've got a 3-day weekend, so yay!
Anyways, I've been meaning to post a new chapter of Larry The Bunny, and I figured "Why not now?"

So, without further ado, here is CHAPTER TWOOOOOO!!! (Click this link if you need to read the first chapter, or reread it, hehe!)

Larry The Bunny- Chapter 2

After that night, time passed quickly, and Larry grew up, keeping the name he'd been given from the very beginning.

But soon, Henry began to notice that Larry was... different. He didn't act, look, or even talk like most boy bunnies, and he seemed interested in stuff that most boy bunnies would reject.

"Can I have this, Mom and Dad?!" he asked excitedly one night at Jamaa Clothing, touching a sparkling purple designer skirt.

"Um... well, uh... why would you want that?" Henry stammered nervously. Cora's ears twitched. She had noticed Larry's behavior lately too, and she seemed very suspicious.

"Because it's cool!" Larry answered without looking up from the skirt, obviously not thinking anything was odd.

"Well... Larry..." Henry said gently. "Most boy bunnies don't wear stuff like that."

Larry finally glanced upwards. "Really? Are you sure?" He pawed the sparkly material of the skirt again. "I think it'd look nice on me."

Henry felt Cora's gaze burning into his back, and he turned to see her glaring at him, her ears flattened. She took him aside and whispered into his ear fiercely.

"Look what you've done!"

Henry blinked. "What? What did I do?!"

"You told me the night Larry was born that he was a boy. You said he 'acts like one'." She gave a slight gesture of her paw towards where Larry was standing, being careful not to alert him. "How is that 'acting like a boy'?!"

"Well, uh... maybe he's just a bit... confused right now. I'm sure he'll be fine later!" Henry answered.

Cora leaned in closer and made her voice sharper. "That's not the problem, Henry."

"Then what do you think the problem is?"

"Henry!" Cora scolded angrily. "The problem is that Larry isn't a boy... she's a girl!"

Henry stared at her, realizing that everything added up. He grinned sheepishly, his ears down.

"Oops?"

Cora's eyes were flaming. "You've let him- no, her- go her whole life thinking she was a boy! You said that night that she definitely was a boy!"

"Well... I said I think", Henry pointed out quietly.

Cora just glared at him for a moment. Then she closed her eyes, let out a breath, and opened them again.

"Well, what do we do now?" she said, her voice sounding much calmer now. 

Henry looked back at Larry, who was now examining a jeweled necklace. "I don't think we should tell hi- I mean her. It might be too much for her to take in at this age. She'll be totally confused."

Cora sighed and rubbed her head. "Fine. But she needs to know eventually."

Henry nodded. "I know. But not yet."

Soon, Larry was old enough to attend Jamaasian Elementary. She talked every day the week before about how fun it'd be, and how good of a student she'd be.

"I'll be the smartest in the class, and I'll be good at everything they teach! And I'll make lots and lots of friends, and we'll all play together all the time- it'll be awesome!" she said happily at dinner one night.

Henry and Cora glanced at each other and smiled. They had agreed to let Larry be herself, even without knowing she was a girl, and it seemed to be working out just fine for now.

"You better go to bed earlier tonight, Larry", Cora pointed out. "Since tomorrow's your first day of school."

Larry nodded eagerly. "I will!" She finished eating and hopped up. "I'm so excited!" Then she bounced off to her room.

Now alone in the room, Cora spoke to Henry. "Are we going to tell the teacher to call her a she or something?"

Henry shrugged. "We said we'd keep this from her as long as possible. If we have to talk to the teacher about keeping it too, I'll do it. I don't want to ruin Larry's view of school."

"Fine", Cora replied, sighing. "And me too." She glanced back at Larry's room worriedly. "I hope she has fun tomorrow."

"I bet she will", Henry soothed her. "Don't worry- this'll all work out fine in the end, you'll see!"

The Artwork Of AJ Lands

Hello hello again, everyone! Man, we're already speeding through January!! Or I am, at least, XD!

I sadly have to go back to school on Thursday. Yeah... not looking forward to that. :1

But hey, that means we only have 2 days this week, and then the weekend will come around again! So I guess I should just focus on that, XD!

Anyways, last night, I was bored on Animal Jam, so I decided to go around and just look for some details in all the lands that I've never really noticed before. 

I do this sometimes when I'm bored on AJ- normally, when I get on, not many of my buddies are online, and I really don't have much else to do, since all my dens are full, and I don't have much of a reason to go around trading anymore. I actually enjoy just putting some music on, then letting it play in the background as I wander around an empty world! 

It may sound kinda boring to some people, but I'm that kind of person who loves just enjoying nature, y'know? Even if it's digital nature, XD!

So anyways, I was wandering around Sarepia Forest, and... WOAH!

Guys, have you ever thought about how long it must've taken to make just that ONE ROOM?!

Ignoring the Jamaalidays decorations, just LOOK at it all!! Can you imagine how long it must've taken to digitally create each individual leaf sticking out like that?! I definitely would NOT have that kind of patience! And they're so small, and there's so many!

And there's detail on EVERYTHING. The tree bark, the wooden platforms, the lights, the ropes stringing the wooden platforms together, the slide, the forest floor... pretty much everything you look at is remarkably created! 

If the designers who created Animal Jam's lands haven't gotten some kind of reward by now, then I'll go over to AJHQ right now and demand they get one!

You Guys: Swirl, do you even have enough money to afford going there? Do you even have a way to get there at all?

Me: Um...

Me: OKAY, SO NOT RIGHT NOW. BUT SOMEDAY, THOSE ARTISTS ARE GETTING AN AWARD FOR THIS!

XDD!

And in Crystal Sands too!

The colors of the water just fade into each other so perfectly! I seriously wonder how much smoothing and blending it took to make it like that...

And once again, everything here is so detailed! There are swirls in the sand (hehe, you can imagine how much I like that!), ongoing ripples in the water, cracks and different-colored minerals in the rocks...

Aaaaand I just noticed that Lit Palm Tree's pot is kinda off the rock. That'll bug me forever now, XD!

Hey, when you're a perfectionist like me, you notice that kind of thing. XDD!

But anyways, back on topic, everything is made to look so realistic! Okay, so maybe not entirely real-life realistic, but you know what I mean.

Once again ignoring the huge gifts (which are really bright compared to the rest of the land...), oh man. The Temple Of Zios must've been one of the hardest rooms to make.

Do you guys see all those stones on that pathway on the right?
THERE ARE SO MANY STONE PATHWAYS IN THAT WORLD, GUYS.

HOW LONG MUST THAT HAVE TAKEN?!

And they all fit together, too (that's a design I really enjoy- I've made a couple things in art class where a bunch of shapes fit together like that, and it's honestly really fun to make, in my opinion!)!

*Switches back to AJ tab for a second and suddenly notices how many things aren't lined up in that world*

*Sighs*

I desperately want to fix those now.

Especially that lynx banner. That annoys me SO. MUCH.

Ahem, anyways...

I won't go through all the lands in Jamaa- you guys probably get the point by now- but seriously, Animal Jam is a lot more than what you see at a quick glance! I love looking around each land in the game and noticing those little details! It's a nice idea if you're bored and looking for something more peaceful to do in the game!

Happy New Year, Guys!!! (A Quick Review!)

Man, I honestly can't believe it's 2018 already! 

I hope you all had an amazing New Years Eve, and, if you didn't, I hope the rest of the new year goes much better for you! :)

I personally had a LOT of fun- Ja and Sarah, it was awesome chatting with you guys for so long! ;)

Anyways... man... it's gonna be hard now, writing 2018 on things at school instead of 2017! XD!

But woah guys, 2017 was VERY eventful!

We did have a lot of bloggers quit, and these bloggers were mentioned in Sarah's post here. Everyone who quit, I will sincerely miss you, and I hope your time spent offline brings you guys a lot of new ideas and opportunities! 

But look on the bright side! We actually had a large amount of people who joined (again, also mentioned in Sarah's post, which I made a link to above) our community! To all of them, I hope blogging turns out to be something you soon consider a passion! :)

2017 definitely did have its ups and downs IRL for me as well. I drifted apart from friends, I met new friends, I grew a lot closer to a few people, I tried new art styles, I found new songs... the list goes on and on!

Thanks to everyone in the community who made 2017 a great year for me! You guys rock, and I hope you know how awesome you are!

I'm definitely looking forward to a fresh start! Let's make 2018 a year to remember!

"Larry The Bunny"- A New Story?!

Hello everyone! Man, I've been posting a LOT this week, huh? XD!
Well, I actually have a good reason to be back here today!

A NEW STORY
IS BORNNNN!!!


That's right- I am officially starting a new story!
And here's the story BEHIND that story, XD!

A while back, Lost made this post about the AJ adventure "Storming The Fortress", and she and I made a joke about one of the bunnies, whose name is Larry, even though it has the female eyes, XD!
I mentioned that I should make a story about this unfortunately-named bunny, and Lost agreed!
I hadn't gotten around to it, but I've had ideas for the first chapter for a long while, and I figured "Why not start it today?" Plus, I was inspired to write again after re-reading and editing Jamaasian Middle! :D

Keep in mind- this story is supposed to be a joke story, and kinda not at the same time... if that makes any sense at all. XD!
So, without further ado, here's... LARRY THE BUNNY! XDD!

Larry The Bunny

Chapter 1

Henry the bunny stood in the waiting room of the Jamaa Hospital. He attempted one last time to peek through the small window on the nearby door, but it had been covered with some sort of fabric, and he could see nothing. He sighed. 

Suddenly, before he could move out of the way, the door opened, and hit Henry, who was caught off guard, in the face. 

"OW!" he yelped, and rubbed his head with a paw. He hopped around to the other side, where a white arctic wolf with very light blue chest fur, wearing a Lab Coat, a Stethoscope, and a Flower Crown, stood in the doorway.

"Oops! Sorry about that, Mr. Henry!" the arctic wolf apologized, noticing the rabbit at last.

"It's fine", Henry assured her, shaking his head. Then he looked up. "Am I allowed to come in now?" he asked hopefully.

The arctic wolf smiled and nodded. "Yes, it's just fine. You have a new member of your family to welcome!" She stepped aside to let Henry go by.

Henry hopped inside and over to a carefully arranged pile of fluffy pillows. A pink-and-white female bunny was lying on top of them.

"Hello, Henry", the bunny greeted him warmly. She waved him closer with a paw, then pointed down at something.

Henry went over to her, and looked to where she was pointing.

There, nestled in the pillows, was a snow-white baby bunny, with faint, purple-blue patches. It appeared to be sleeping, but, after a moment, it yawned and stretched out a tiny paw, which touched Henry's nose.

Henry smiled, then looked back at the pink-and-white rabbit. "Are you alright, Cora?"

She laughed and nodded. "I'm just fine. But you know, we really need to name this little one." She motioned at the baby bunny.

Henry gave a nod. "Wait", he said suddenly. "Is it a girl or a boy?"

Cora just blinked at him. She turned towards the door, where the arctic wolf nurse was still standing, and gave her a questioning look.

The arctic wolf shrugged apologetically. "I don't have the info on that. Let me try to find who does, though." She padded out of the room and let the door close behind her.

Henry and Cora stared at each other for a minute or two, both looking sheepish, until the door opened again. The same nurse walked back in.

"I apologize", she sighed. "We can't seem to find where we put the documents for that. We've just has so much to do lately."

Another doctor, this time a teal-and-white coyote, suddenly burst in.

"Nurse Leah! You're supposed to be across the hall right now, remember?!" The coyote flicked her tail impatiently and pawed the ground.

"Oh! Oh, right, yes!" The arctic wolf, Nurse Leah, began to dash out the door, then paused and turned. "Sorry... duty calls", she apologized, and then raced away.

Henry sighed. "Well, guess we have to do this ourselves, huh?" He stared down at the baby bunny again. "Maybe it's a boy?"

"And how do you know?" Cora raised an eyebrow.

"Well... um... it... acts like one?"

Cora groaned. "It was just born an hour ago. How exactly does it "act" like a boy already?"

Henry shrugged sheepishly. "It... um, just does. But trust me- I know my stuff, and this is definitely a little boy." He looked at Cora. "I, uh, think."

Cora put a paw to her head and sighed. "You better be right, Henry."

Henry studied the tiny bunny again. "He looks like a Larry to me. Should we call him that?" He glanced hopefully at Cora.

Cora's ears flattened, and she looked nervous. "Are you sure it's a boy?"

"Come on Cora! Trust me, I'm pretty sure."

The pink-and-white rabbit looked at Henry, then at the baby bunny, then back at Henry.

"Fine", she finally said. "Larry it is."

Looking down at the baby once more, Henry swore he saw it smile slightly.

And BOOM! There you have it- Chapter 1! XD!

I'll try to post a new chapter whenever I can! It won't be a regular posting schedule, like with JM, though, because I need time to think up some more ideas! Plus, I don't always have the time to write a whole chapter of a story!

So chapters will be posted whenever possible! :)

Anyways, I hope you guys are looking forward to this as much as I am, because LET ME TELL YOU, I have ideaaaas for this story. XDD!
