I apologizeeee!!! I've been really busy IRL lately, and plus, I've been... eheheh... forgetting most of the time as well.
Actually, I've been forgetting LOTS of stuff lately.
Stuff I should've finished forever ago.
But oh well, XDD!
But hey, why don't we get onto the post, because let me tell you, the events that happened that I'll be talking about were SO AMAZING to me!!!
Okay, so, on the 7th, I had a guitar performance at a celebration-thing that's a tradition in my town. It was SUPER cold- in fact, when I left, it was 37 degrees Fahrenheit (sorry, I go by Fahrenheit!), which is almost to freezing!
Anyways, we were playing guitar out in the almost-freezing weather, and it was raining too.
So THAT was fun.
You Guys: *Blinks*
You Guys: *Gets up and starts to leave*
WAIT WAIT WAIT! IT GETS BETTER, I PROMISE!
You Guys: *Slowly turns and sits back down*

Anyways, it was miserable for a while, but GUESS WHAT!?
After a while, the rain turned into actual...
SNOWWWWWW!!!
Snow is NOT a normal thing for most Texans. Seriously, we NEVER see snow down here. My dad said the last time it snowed a decent amount was around 1983, or something like that!
So it's been a VERY long time since we've seen snow down here!
IT.
ACTUALLY.
SNOWED.
And not just a thin dusting- okay, so it WAS still kinda thin... BUT IT COULD BE PLAYED IN AND STUFF! XDD!
Anyways, as soon as I got home, my siblings and I went out into our backyard and started doing the typical snow day activities! You know, the ones on TV and in books, like building a snowman and making snow angels and having a snowball fight and all that? The stuff me and my siblings have NEVER legitimately done before?
Yeah, we did ALL of that! XD!
And guess what elseeeee?
I TOOK PICUREEEEEEEESSSS!! XDD!

I'm trusting you got that reference, Owl City fans! XDD!
And I totally didn't name him Ronald... eheheheh...
BUT WAIT.
BEFORE YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT HOW BAD THE QUALITY IS IN THIS PICTURE, LET ME TELL YOU A STORY!
*Opens story book and puts on grandma reading glasses*
Once upon a time, Swirlshine was playing in the rarely-seen snow and made a snowman. She wanted to take a picture of it, so she tried to take a picture with her iPhone with snowy gloves on. In the dark. This didn't work well, and, literally right after having to ask Siri to open her camera app, her phone died. "NOOOOOO", Swirlshine yelled, and ran to give her phone to her mom so it could charge.
Finally, Swirl got her phone back, and tried to take picture with a gloved hand, which turned out to be extremely hard. But she finally did it, and she lived happily ever after, until she had to figure out how to carry her phone back inside without touching it and getting snow on it.
THE END!
True story. XDD!
The snow delayed my school's starting time by two hours, so I got to sleep in a bit! This morning, the snow was still there, so I was able to take good pictures in the daylight! YAY!
Just imagine how much you could do with all that... *grins evilly and rubs hands together*
XDD!
And finally, what the scenery looked like from my dad's windshield, XDD!
Unfortunately, when I got to school, the teachers decided to be extremely rude and not let us throw snowballs or touch the snow or anything.
I mean, COME ON, IT'S NOT DANGEROUS!!! It's actually pretty soft!
But yeah, I was highly annoyed that I couldn't go out and enjoy the snow some more before it melted, and Lost heard ALL about that this morning.
Sorry Lost, XDDDDD!
But anyways, behind one of the gyms, where I was waiting for my first period teacher to come and unlock her door, a lot of us DID have some secret fun with the snow, including me, XD! For some reason, I just like to kick it around and roll it into a random snowball that'll never be used. XDDD!
And... yeah! That's my snow day(s) for you! It had all pretty much melted by the time I got out of school.
But I had a SUPER fun experience, and, even though I, uh, couldn't exactly feel my feet after coming back inside (XDD), I loved it all! I'm really hoping to go to a place with LOTS of snow in the winter sometime soon!
*Nudges Lost* XDD!

Where I live in Britain we NEVER get snow. We get like a cm feel but that's it. The rest of the time winter is just cold and wet.. I'm jealous DX I WANT SNOW. It looks so fun...

I've only seen snow once. Well,twice, but I was 2 years old the first time. Last year was the second time.

It never snows in my country, it usually rains instead, and that's why I want to go to Iceland. (Well, maybe it's not only the snow. Maybe I want to see the Northern Lights and the Blue Lagoon as well, huehuehue...)
Anyways, we missed school, and my sister and I went out to collect snow (we put it in the freezer afterwards), and had a fierce snowball fight. More like a snowblock fight. We collected as much snow as we could and threw it at each other :P And they say that it might snow in a few days. WELL, I HOPE SO, I WANT MORE SNOW, IT WAS FUN, I WANT MORE SNOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
Yep. Gtg find reasonably-priced airplane tickets to Iceland. I HAVE TO VISIT THAT COUNTRY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

ReplyDeleteI only got a tiny few minute sprinkle of snow.. And everywhere else right next to me got snow.. LOTS OF SNOW.. Like an hour away it was still snowing.. at like 3:30 or more! DX But it's still possible for me to get some awesome doll photography, Since it snowed it Texas, And really close to me, Still got a chance to get some sticky snow! XD

ReplyDeleteI wish I could play in the snow. :') But we do not get snow here in the southern PST universe. Basically, in summer, the sun is shining. In winter, the sun is shining. Nobody remembers the last time the sun was not shining. *Vaporwave plays*

Anyway... I'm here to talk about something more important.
I'm going to post something about it on Cube soon, but I'd like to talk a bit about it here too.
Today, the FCC (government thingy) decided to get rid of net neutrality.
If you don't know what net neutrality is, it's a very important set of rules that balances out the entire digital interface. It makes WiFi providers treat all (legal) websites equally, despite their popularity or if they didn't like an opinion on one. It makes everything on the Internet balanced and neutral and peaceful. It allows us to communicate freely online, and makes it so one website isn't better than another.
But these really amazing rules were repealed. Today.
That means, in a few months, when net neutrality has completely left presence, we might not be able to see that new blog post because our providers didn't want it. Some websites will be slower than others. Some websites, many websites, actually, will shut down because they're not "popular" and the 'net providers don't want to pay for it. The bigger media websites, however, may create or raise fees to use their media or website.
It'll be chaos. It'll be sad. And we'll all be fighting back for net neutrality.
I'm not sure why the government did this, and I don't think anybody really does. But all I know is that America is so unified in this, and they are fighting back.
The current loss of net neutrality might possibly mean AJ will shut down. Who knows?
We need net neutrality back.
I just had to get that off my chest, so sorry...
Oh well. Lovely snow, Christmas is coming, and net neutrality isn't going away for another couple months. :) Let's finish 2017 strong. It'll be part of history.
Then again, it's worse than 2016, which says a lot.
For y'all living in Canada and the UK- you still have net neutrality. Cherish it. It balances out the interwebs for you so you can enjoy it the best you can.
